This is a TV tower in Shanghai. As of October 2022, it is the sixth tallest building in Asia, and the ninth tallest around the world. Completed in 1994 and opened in 1995.
This tower is built across the Bund, and when night falls, the lights are turned on so that you can view the night view across the Huangpu River from the Bund.
“The construction of an approximately 400-meter high TV tower in the Lujiazui area was proposed in 1983 as a vision for the next decade.”
The designer chose to use columns to connect 15 spheres of different sizes as the main body of the tower. The mood is taken from a poem by the Chinese poet Bai Juyi, intended to emphasize the oriental cultural atmosphere and the artistic mood of Shanghai.
Visitors' reactions
After viewing the beautiful scenery across the Huangpu River, visitors enjoyed the place, and Mr. Li Dong said, "This is a place you can't miss when you come to Shanghai, and it's very relaxing to walk along the river at night and see the beautiful scenery.
When everyone has finished eating, they can go here for a walk to eliminate food, which is definitely a good place to go.
